What is PODzilla?

PODzilla an Adobe Connect Pro pod that can give you a ton of useful information about your attendees and help you to run better meetings.

The first thing to understand is that PODzilla is completely invisible to anyone who is not a Host. That means your attendees and presenters will never see the pod, even if it's sitting right in the middle of your meeting layout. It's like Harry Potter's Cloak of Invisibility - only visible to you and other Hosts in the meeting. The application provides you with a list of everyone in the meeting as well as useful information about each attendee, including:

• Their Desktop Screen Resolution - Screen Column (useful to know if some people have old 800x600 screens or laptops that may make your content very small and hard to read)
• Their Meeting Size Resolution and the percentage that their meeting room height is of their desktop height  - Window Column (more on this in a moment)
• The actual size on their machine of any pod you select from the dropdown list - Pod Column (this is good to know for pods that need to be viewed at a minimum size to work)
• Their Operating System (Windows/Mac/Linux) and Flash Version (so you know if they have the latest version of Flash installed)
• Plugin vs. Browser (is the user viewing the meeting using the Connect Pro Add-In or in their Browser)

All of this information has not been available until now and can really help you resolve questions and problems in a number of ways. For example, it is critical to know whether users have appropriately sized meeting large enough to view it properly. PODzilla allows you to look at each attendee's screen resolution. Screen sizes at or below 1024x768 require all of the real-estate they can find to get the best out of the meeting and you can really help them using PODzilla.

If the percentage shown next to the Window Size is less than about 95% it means that the meeting is not being run Full Screen by the user. If they have the plug-in, they simply need to maximize the window to fix the problem (for more information, click here).
